Simply squeeze cords and cables between the rows of plastic knobs and any mess of loose cables becomes tidy and organized. Want to remove the cables? Just pull them out! Simple, yet efficient.
The cardboard box contains 2 Cablox.
Each Cablox is 10x 10 cm and has 8 rows of 8 lugs.

Cablox consist of a flexible plastic part upon which a special foam tape from 3M is attached. The tape will last for a long time. Hidden in the plastic part by the foam tape, there are pre-drilled holes if you want to fasten the part using screws.
Cablox works with any cord thickness you are likely to find in a home or office. It will help you organize thin cords like phone chargers and USB cables, as well as thicker cords from your printer or monitor.
We have always been looking for a system which could be easy to place and remove cable in an easy way. We realised that tiny cords can be attached to Velcro and that it can be attahced in different directions. Like in chess, if you are a Queen you can move in all directions fast, and if you are a King you can move in all directions but at a slower pace. The rest was just a matter of scaling up the “mushrooms” and to figure out how to manufacture such complex geometries.
The first prototype of the product was done with “Quercetti Fantacolor”, the popular Italian toy where pegs are inserted into a perforated board. We then simply used an iron to melt the plastic parts together!
We considered designing the Cablox Original 8×8 like a piece of chocolate enabling the user to break it into smaller pieces. As we need to make the product of a flexible plastic compound making the product flexible and unbreakable, we could not do that as it would be time-consuming to break – and leave unpleasant rough edges. That’s the reason why you don’t find any cable management made of chocolate in the market!
